Grammy Commentary

So the spouse is saying that I am in rare form tonight with my commentary (I think he just wants me to shut up so he can go to sleep) and suggested I blog as I watch.  Why didn't I think of that?  Maybe 'cause I wrote 23 report cards, ran 15 miles, ate only one bagel all day until 6:00 until me and the burrito bowl went all the way (think there's guacamole in my bra) and I am dead tired.  Let's do a little catching up.

1.  U2 rocked it and Whitney you've got some fab hair but let's lay off the crack for just a couple of days (I need to give credit to a fellow Radiohead fanatic for that brilliant insight.)

2.  I kind of liked Taylor Swift.  Seriously.

3.  Coldplay look like the fourth row in a box of 64 Crayola crayons.  And I really do love them but I really don't love the song Vida la Vida.  Though I did love Chris's piano solo with JZ.  And FP, I can't believe you didn't recognize him.  Always remember the diamond.
And Bullseye.

4.  I am 37 and totally love The Jonas Brothers.  They are fun, harmless, easy on the eyes and play catchy tunes.  And they were with Stevie!  I got all teary eyed.

5.  Adele, I am so happy you won Best New Artist but throw away the gum sweetie.

6.  I really wish MIA would have had the baby right on the floor so all the rappers could have busted into a verison of Salt n Peppa's "Push it, push it good."

7.  I'm going to start going back to church but only the one where the fabulous Rev. Al Green is at.

8.  OMG-Radiohead is playing 15 Steps-I am going to pee in my pants.

9.  No need for Depends.  What I just witnessed was pure musical genius.  I'm not even going to try to explain.  15 STEPS?  How many times have I discussed that song?  That song is a part of me. And with the USC marching band?  My entire family is obsessed with USC.  Thom oh Thom.  Did you see how he moved?  That voice.  Radiohead just set a new standard that few will dare to emulate.  I'd go to sleep now but I have got to see if they win.  Once again dear readers, if you have not purchased In Rainbows, do it now.

10.  I stayed up to watch Allison Krause and Robert Plant beat Radiohead?  Are you kidding me?  I am so done with this show.

I'd leave but getting off the couch is a little hard right now.  Walking should be interesting tomorrow.

#3 - I agree about Viva la Vida.....so many better songs on that CD. I didn't like Mr. Beyonce rapping though.....that is my favorite song from Viva and I thought he ruined it.

#9 - I haven't really listened to much Radiohead, but I enjoyed their performance. I might need to check them out now!

#10 - Seriously.....how did Allsion Krauss beat Coldplay (and I'll give you Radiohead)?? Just wrong!

To add one of my own:

#11 - Sticking with the Coldplay theme....How the heck does Lil' Wayne win more Grammy's than Coldplay? Something is not right with this picture!
